Born in Kanagawa on March 13, 1978, Akira Fubuki first became known as a photobook (or shashinshu) model. She made her photo-book debut at the age of 17 in the October 1996 release, Pistil Fubuki's AV debut was in November 1996 for the Alice Japan label. Her first video for the MAX-A label was the December 1996 release, Dressy This initiation of a young "new face" AV model fits the pattern of AV career which Kjell Fornander describes.
